Vor genau einem Jahr musste ich eine Entscheidung treffen: Gehen wir zusammen für drei Jahre nach China oder nicht?
Beim Look & See tat es mir im Herzen weh, keinen blauen Himmel dort zu sehen. Zum einen lag es an der Luftverschmutzung, zum anderen haben wir es geschafft gleichzeitig mit einem Taifun anzureisen. Zwei Naturkatastrophen waren mindestens eine zu viel für mich Woid-Kind. Meine chinesischen Freundinnen in Peking
versuchten mich zu überzeugen, die Entscheidung für China zu fällen. "Hmm, you like blue sky?", fragte mich Lily. Ja, durchaus, schon, und gerade weil das halt in Bayern an der Tagesordnung ist. "You will keep the blue sky in your heart and paint it in your artwork", hat sie dann gesagt, die Lily. Und ich denke oft an diesen Satz, wenn mir der graue Himmel in China zwar auf die Nerven geht, ich aber das Leben dort trotzdem sehr genieße - gerade wegen der vielen Zeit für meine Bilder. Nun bin ich noch zwei Wochen in Bayern und freue mich jeden Tag über das himmlische Weiß und Blau. Und über das Grün. Und Rot. Und Gelb auch.
Das Leben ist schön!
*Exactly one year ago I had to make a decision: Are we going to move to China for three years or not? During the look & see-trip I had heartache because of not seeing the blue sky there. On the one hand, it was because of the air pollution, and on the other hand, we managed to arrive in Dalian togehter with a typhoon. Two natural disasters at once were at least one too many for me - being a child of the bavarian forrest. My chinese friends in Beijing tried to convince me to make the decision in favor of China. "Hmm, you like blue sky?", Lily asked. Yes, indeed, that's just on the agenda in Bavaria. "You have to keep the blue sky in your heart and paint it in your artwork," she then said. I often think of this sentence, when the gray sky in China is annoying me. But still I enjoy the life here a lot - especially because of the freedom to really pursue my life as an artist. For two more weeks I will be staying in Bavaria and I am looking forward to every day underneath the heavenly white and blue. And to: Green, Yellow and Red too. Life is beautiful!
