Weil in der ruhigen Regenzeit so wenig los ist, dass man sich die Unterkünfte vor Ort aussuchen kann, haben wir uns erst einmal umgesehen in Luang Prabang...

Das Satri House - a Secret Retreat!
Das Antique-Boutique-Hotel liegt mitten in Luang Prabang. Früher war es das Haus eines laotischen Prinzen. Vor 11 Jahren hat es Mrs. Lamphoune Voravongsa wieder zum Leben erweckt und mit ihrer geschmackvollen Sammlung einzigartiger Antiquitäten bestückt. Immer wieder ergänzt sie, tauscht aus, gestaltet um. In jedem Detail steckt viel Liebe. Das laotisch-französische Flair hat mich ganz verzaubert.

Mrs. Lamphoune Voravongsa requickt it and created a unique and exquisite hotel. Her beautiful collection of antiques is all over the house and spreads a magical french-laotian flair. I was ravished by that amazing place.]
Bei der Führung durchs Haus hat uns Henri eine nette Eselsbrücke mitgegeben. Falls man den Zimmerservice wünscht, hängt man das kurze Bommelteil an die Tür. Wenn man aber seine Ruhe haben will und laaaaang schlafen will, hängt man das laaaange Bommelding raus.
:-) Ich liebe solche Details.
[In the tour through the house, Henri told us a nice memory hook: If you need the room service, you hang the small pompon chain on the door knob, but if you want to get some privacy or sleep looooong, you put the loooong pompon thing out. I love this kind of neat detail :-]
